From 1 January 2023 Swiss radio amateurs are permitted to operate on the 4 m band. Operation is subject to the following conditions
- Only HB9 stations may operate
- Frequency allocation is from 70,000 MHz to 70,0375 MHz and from 70,1125 MHz to 70,500 MHz, i.e. no operation from 70,0375 MHz to 70,1125 MHz
- Max power is 25 W ERP
- All modes
- It is recommended to adhere to the IARU bandplan
- Only direct QSOs
- Unattended operation such as repeaters and Echolink are not permitted
- Remote operation has to be reported to the telecom regulator BAKOM
